Schools are important
I have raised (and am still raising) children in the Greater Seattle area. I’ve been a substitute teacher and still have many contacts in the profession.
If you are a family with school-age children, or planning to raise one, choosing a neighborhood with good schools is a top priority.
You can call me anytime at 206-719-5511 or e-mail me at malorie@GoSeattleHomes.com about any school questions.
One great source for school information is The Seattle Times’ well-researched guide, found at http://schoolguide.seattletimes.nwsource.com.
Another source is provided by OnBoard, which compiles neighborhood information for the Realtors such as me. Click here:

The most popular public school districts in the area also have their own sites:

In addition, some families choose to commute by ferry from their jobs in Seattle to homes on Bainbridge Island or Vashon Island, both with highly-regarded school districts.
It’s not city living, that’s for sure, which is a big reason many families choose that lifestyle.

Keep coming back to this page on my site!
I’ll be adding comments from PTSA leaders and just everyday parents about the school districts in which they live. There is nothing like real people talking about their real-life experiences!
